2 Warning Notices and 1 Compound were issued during the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics, DEPS, through the Department of Consumer Affairs together with the Weights and Measures Unit, SDT, Industry and Business Ecosystem Division on business premises in Pekan Seria, Belait District on 28th March.

Two business premises were found to have committed offences under the Price Control Act, Chapter 142. Syarikat Nazmul Sendirian Berhad was issued a compound of $500 BND for failing to display prices on several goods sold at the premises. In addition, a total of two Warning Notices were issued to a business premise for selling price controlled goods, namely formulated powdered milk, above the maximum price and for displaying prices inconsistent with those in the counter payment system.

Meanwhile, fourteen units of weighing machines used for trading purposes were found during the operation and all weighing machine are verified, accurate and registered.
